TRIETHNÉS Festival has renewed its collaboration with the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece, and its Department of Music Science and Art for the second edition of the PRESPENSIS Academy, which will take place from 25 to 30 August in the village of Laimos, Prespes.
The Academy is realised in partnership with the University of Macedonia, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the Music Schools of Kastoria and Ptolemaida, forming a regional network that connects higher music education with emerging young talent.
This year’s Academy will once again host 20 selected students from the partner institutions, bringing together composers and performers to work in small ensembles under real-world artistic conditions. Participants will collaborate closely on the development, rehearsal, and public presentation of six newly commissioned works, gaining hands-on experience in contemporary music creation and performance within the unique cultural landscape of Prespes.
