How to reach Prespa

Athens
From Athens, Prespa can be reached by car, or a combination of plane, bus and car.
If you choose to drive, the journey takes approximately 6 hours.
If you prefer to travel by plane, there are flights to Kastoria operated by Sky Express on Tuesdays and Sundays, departing early in the morning. From Kastoria Airport, you will need to rent a car and drive to Prespa (approximately 40 minutes).
Alternatively, you can take a bus from the central bus terminal in Athens to Kastoria. The journey takes around 7 hours. From there, you will again need to rent a car to reach Prespa.
Please note that if you plan to rent a car, you should book it in advance and inform the rental company of your arrival location (bus station or airport).
Thessaloniki
From Thessaloniki, Prespa can be reached either by car or by a combination of bus and car.
If you choose to drive, the journey takes approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes.
If you prefer to travel by bus, the journey to Kastoria takes around 3 hours. From there, you will need to rent a car and drive to Prespa (approximately 45 minutes).
What if I don’t drive?
If you do not drive, there is no need to worry. There are plenty of taxi services available in Kastoria that can take you to Prespa. The journey costs approximately €50.
For getting around within Prespa, you can either use local taxi services or ask for assistance locally. The community in Prespa is known for being welcoming and helpful.
